New details about the antagonists in The Batman starring Robert Pattinson have been revealed.
According to the folks over at The BYO Show, Toby Kebbell, who appeared in Black Mirror and films like Kong: Skull Island and Warcraft, is reportedly being considered for the role of Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow while Theo Rossi, who you might know from Sons of Anarchy and Luke Cage, will star as Bane.
The YouTubers claim that they have known about Pattinson's casting since January and it was during that time that they also learned of the casting choices for Bane and Scarecrow. However, they do note that Kebbell and Rossi's involvement hasn't been confirmed yet or is at least not at as definite as Pattinson's casting seems to be.
However, considering that the Twilight alum being the next Batman all but confirmed, they believe that it is highly possible that it could end up happening.
For now, however, nothing is certain yet so it's best to take this report with a pinch of salt. Either way, it seems that Kebbell and Rossi have the look of Scarecrow and Bane down.
The BYO Show also claims that Warner Bros. is interested in bringing in High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens for the role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. Josh Gad is apparently being considered for the Penguin role, something that the Frozen actor has been teasing as well.
Jason Clarke from Zero Dark Thirty and Pet Sematary will reportedly play Thomas Wayne while The Americans and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Keri Russell is apparently going to portray Martha Wayne.
The Batman is set to introduce Pattinson's Batman into the new era of superhero films that Warner Bros. is working on as they move on from the DC Comics Extended Universe with Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa apparently the only two left from the DCEU,
