It's no secret that the 2016 film Suicide Squad was divisive among the fans and the critics. And although it has been 3 years since the film made its debut, some people can't seem to get over the movie. Some are still sending hate towards David Ayer, but the director proves to be handling this criticism quite well.

Ayer was tagged in a discussion between fans over on Twitter regarding his movie, he even revealed a few details about Enchantress' plans as well. At one point, someone replied to the director's tweet and meddled with the casual interaction. The user called Ayer's movie "trash" and said that even a 10-year-old could "come up with something better."

The director responded with a kind message towards the person. He wrote, "Thank you for sharing your pain." Ayer says the user might have something going on in his life that might have led him to say something out of anger, so he isn't going to judge him for it. You can check out the exchange below.

Personally, I think this is the best way to handle criticism and people who send hate towards anyone. Ayer didn't answer back with hate, instead, he gave a classy response that doesn't stir up more issues or could potentially anger the other person even more, which is a good way to interact, especially on Twitter.

On another note, Ayer is also very much supportive of James Gunn's upcoming movie, The Suicide Squad. It is not a sequel to his movie, but he believes that Gunn will be knocking it out of the park.

What do you think of Ayer's response to the hater? Share your thought in the comments below!

James Gunn's The Suicide Squad is slated for release on August 6, 2021.
