Set as the final installment of the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker included a lot of epic references, Easter eggs, and characters from the original trilogy. One familiar face that fans might have spotted in the film is Wicket the Ewok, an adorable character featured in Return of the Jedi. Wicket was seen with another Ewok beside him, and as it turns out, it's his own child!

In a recent interview with Inverse, Warwick Davis revealed that Wicket is indeed related to the smaller Ewok seen beside him.

When ask of what he thinks Wicket has been up to between Return of the Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, Davis said, "I don't know what's been going on. It's tricky. Has life been good for Ewoks or not? I'd like to think that their victory left them feeling pretty good about themselves."

"I mean, Wicket's had a child -- that other Ewok you see in Rise of Skywalker is his son," he continued. In fact, the one in the costume is Davis' actual son.

"So he didn't look like he suffered too much. He's got a family and stuff," he added. Davis admits that he did give it a thought, but he didn't feel the need to "dig too deep," because he claims that he didn't need to be "too informed" for what they ended up doing in the film.

When asked whether or not there's a possibility for Ewoks to return in a movie or a series, Davis said, "Who knows." Since everything is possible in the galaxy far, far away, there is a chance that we'd get to see the adorable characters again. "So never say never in the Star Wars universe," Davis said, in awe of how long the franchise has come.
