Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was filled with epic space battles and intense duels, and of course, everyone has an opinion of their own as to which scene from the film was the best. For stunt coordinator Eunice Huthart, it was the ultimate fight between Rey and Kylo Ren.

The pair have always been in this complicated relationship throughout the whole sequel trilogy and it finally culminated in a lightsaber duel on the ruins of the second Death Star. Huthart told CBR that that scene was her favorite in the movie. "It was my favorite shooting it, creating it, and then just actually watching it," she said."[Director J.J. Abrams], the guy is just amazing. He brought me in to collaborate, and he embraced that -- which was very flattering on my behalf."

The duel was a pivotal part of the film and was the hardest one to shoot as well, which actually took quite a while. "For that scene, we did so much work," she revealed. "We were doing choreography on that scene for three months alone."

"Because we wanted to continue to make it so emotional and make you really feel like you were there," Huthart added. "To understand them, what they wanted, what they wanted to gain from their battle, it was all-important to us."

Huthart shared that some things would shift a bit while shooting, but the actors easily adapted to it. They hit them with cold water all day for a week, but she thinks all that was worth it because it felt "real," which is why she picks that as her favorite scene.

She then went on to praise Adam Driver for wanting to do his own stunts and actually being "capable" of doing so. "He'd just go and move. I kept telling him, he needs to do a full action movie," Hurhart added. "He's got to do it, because he's so brilliant."

The amount of work put into filming that duel was certainly worth it because it was one of the most powerful scenes in the film, and the emotions were effectively translated on screen.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is available on Digital HD. The film is set for release on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD on March 31, 2020.
