Star Wars: The Clone Wars Actor on the Possibility of Making an Appearance in The Mandalorian

There's a whole lot of new stories and characters featured in Star Wars: The Mandalorian but is there more room for a familiar face from The Clone Wars to make an appearance on the show?

Captain Rex has survived tons of pivotal events, including the Clone Wars and the events of Star Wars Rebels, and even the original trilogy. It's safe to assume that he is still alive by the time of The Mandalorian, which is set five years after Return of the Jedi.

Dee Bradley Baker, who provides the voices of all the clones in the animated series, recently had an interview with CinemaBlend. When asked if The Mandalorian could be the next big thing for Rex, Baker says, "Answering such questions are for different minds on the creative food chain than mine, but wouldn't that be wonderful!"

Baker admits that he thinks it might not be necessary. He says The Mandalorian is already doing "pretty good" and that they're "doing fantastic" with what the show has brought and the "excitement they've generated in the fanbase."

While they can layer in characters from the rest of the Star Wars lore as they wish, Baker thinks it's "certainly not necessary." "They've got a really strong universe and a strong style in The Mandalorian that these choices are available," he added. Ultimately, it's still up to Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Disney if they were to add his character on the show.

"And I can't wait to see what they're gonna do on that, because I couldn't get enough of The Mandalorian," Baker continued. "I loved it."
