The coronavirus pandemic has people holding off visiting theme parks or basically every event or place where lots of people gather. However, Star Wars has a way for fans to still explore Galaxy's Edge from the comfort of their homes.

SYFY WIRE provides the first look at the Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, as well as an interview with author Cole Horton about what to look forward to in the book. "We always had in mind that this could be for people who hadn't yet been to the land and it could also be for people who have been to Galaxy's Edge," Horton says.

He adds that while he didn't anticipate writing the book in the context of a pandemic, this will serve as a way for people to go to the place without even leaving their homes. "I'm even more excited that this is gonna be out there in the world," Horton adds. "And hopefully, it provides people a way of experiencing Batuu while we're all sheltering in place."

The Traveler's Guide to Batuu will be told from Eloc Thorno's perspective, which is an anagram of Horton's name, along with his droid companion. The droid will be able to "scan and gather more technical information" which is why the book includes blueprints of ships. There's also "a lot of technical information" to understand more of what you're looking at, as well as details presented in a way that "you would only know if you had been there."

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu will be on sale this July 21st and is available for pre-order here.
