Prior to the release of The Rise of Skywalker, Star Wars fans expected that Kelly Marie Tran's Rose Tico will have more screentime compared to The Last Jedi. It has been speculated that she will have a bigger role, especially since she has risen ranks from being a mechanic in the Resistance. Well, that's not the case though.

Some Star Wars fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on how Tran's Rose was used in Episode IX. Some say she had fewer lines than the new characters, while others think they did her dirty. Either way, people aren't very happy about it. Check out some of the fans' tweets below.

Aside from being barely included in the promotional materials, her relationship with Finn wasn't addressed either. In addition, it seems like she was just on the sidelines in the majority of the film, and had very few lines. Considering that they built up her backstory in The Last Jedi and raised her ranks in The Rise of Skywalker, it's disappointing for fans who expected that they'll see and learn more of Rose in Episode IX.

Some people also speculate that Rian Johnson and J.J. Abrams's stories weren't even on the same page regarding the entirety of the trilogy. It seems like, even in the final chapter, fans would still be asking "Where's Rose?"
