It's always great when a talented Star Wars fans use their skills to create unexpected crossovers that otherwise wouldn't happen. This was exactly what a Reddit user did after watching the trailer for Stranger Things Season 3.
Although the new season of the Netflix series is all about growing up, it is clear that Steve is not ready to grow up yet, even though he is taking the role of a "mom" to Mike and friends. You can see it in the trailer when he duels with Dustin with air lightsabers.
The Star Wars fan who goes by ActionPlanetRobot took the liberty of adding actual lightsabers. Steve has a blue one, which makes him the good guy in this battle. Dustin, on the other hand, has the red color, so he's probably channeling his Sith within. He actually even won the battle, but he didn't cut off his opponent's hand as one would in the galaxy far, far away. He took Steve's guts out instead. Check out the post for yourself below.

As you can see, the editing is impeccable, because it looked like Steve and Dustin really were wielding the weapons when they were fake battling in front of a girl. A lot of Reddit users seem to think so too, and showed their love for the creative fan the only way they know how: Star Wars quotes!
Clearly, Steve has embraced his inner kid after watching the young group save the town from the terrors of the upside down in the previous season of Stranger Things. He also appears to be handling his breakup with Nancy gracefully. In fact, he had no shame playing with a kid in front of a girl that old Steve will definitely do everything to seem to look cool to.
From the looks of it, even though the group are ready to move forward from their childhood in Stranger Things Season 3, premiering July 4, it seems there will still be no shortage of Star Wars references.
