Star Wars: Episode IX Kylo Ren vs Rey Fight Was Shot In 6 Days

Star Wars' C-3PO star Anthony Daniels recently had a press conference in France talking about The Rise of Skywalker as well as his autobiography (via Mulderville). During the event, Daniels also shared a little bit of information regarding Kylo Ren and Rey's fight scene.

Since the actor spoke mostly in French, a Redditor under the username Futur_Alliance, transcribed some of the details that Daniels shared regarding the movie.

If you recall, Daniels previously mentioned how he would be "front and center" in the upcoming movie during Disney's D23 Expo. Although his character, C-3PO, will likely be an active part of The Rise of Skywalker, he may have had plenty of time to witness some of the filming processes from the sidelines.

Daniels recalled the scene shown on the official poster which was revealed at D23 which shows Rey and Kylo Ren fighting. As it turns out, that scene between Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver alone took six days to shoot.

The Redditor writes, "He (Daniels) was there during the filming of the official poster scene, says it took them 6 days to film that scene. It was brutal because it was in November and it was non-stop wave after wave." He adds, "Gave huge props to Daisy and Adam for going through that. Called Daisy a true character hero in the trilogy and in no way, because she's a feminine character, was it politically driven."

Kylo Ren and Rey's contrast in character were always highlighted in the marketing for The Rise of Skywalker. However, there's no telling of what would actually happen between the two in the movie because J.J. Abrams might include a big revelation or twist in the plot.
