Ever since she was introduced in Star Trek: Voyager, Seven of Nine has come a long way since then as fans learned more about the character by the end of the first season of Picard. But what's next for Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine in season two? Showrunner Michael Chabon provides a little teaser for what's to come.

This article contains SPOILERS for Star Trek: Picard.

The first season revealed that Seven of Nine has left the Starfleet and became a Fenris Ranger to protect those in need. Seven also helped Picard escape from the Romulan Zhat Vash by plugging herself back into the Borg. She eventually got to unplug herself and used her power to help Jean-Luc in saving Soji and the next-gen of synthetic race. She became a part of Picard's crew by the end of the first season, and even sparked a new flame with Raffi.

Chabon was asked by a fan during his Instagram Q&A on whether or not he could say if Seven of Nine will return in the second season of Picard. "I can, but I'm not supposed to," he wrote. "I want to say yes, but people keep telling me not to. So, no." Chabon clearly can't reveal details about that yet but needless to say, fans are looking forward to seeing Seven again.

As for Seven's relationship with Raffi, Chabon was also asked if it'll be explored in season two. "I hope that I don't get in trouble for saying… yes," he wrote. "If I do get in trouble, it's your fault!"

While Chabon is being tight-lipped about the next season, it's safe t assume that we'll see more of Seven in Picard season two.

Star Trek: Picard Season 1 is now streaming for free on CBS Access for a limited time only.
