Marvel is set to release numerous shows in the following years under Disney+. Fans were ecstatic to hear the news that characters like Loki, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Silver Surfer, the Moon Knight, and many more are finally getting their own series.

This was announced beforehand during the D23 Marvel Studios Disney+ panel last August. Kevin Feige didn’t go into too much detail so as to keep the plot a secret for now. However, logos were shown during the expo.

According to the announcement, one of the series in the works is Moon Knight. We’re finally going to see Marc Spector in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A rumor circulated around Reddit when user Just_A_Doorknob posted a one-paragraph statement on casting rumors regarding the series.

The user claims that Michael Angarano, the protagonist from Sky High, was recently cast as the main character in a certain Disney+ series. The user states that he isn’t sure about what show Angarano will be cast on. But he says “it’s definitely MCU related” as those are the shows that are up for casting right now.

The user says his uncredited source on 4chan is “almost certain” that Angarano will be in the Moon Knight. He adds that “his role is all speculation but his involvement is almost certain."

That being said, this is all unconfirmed so we advise you to take these rumors with a grain of salt.

Marc Spector aka Moon Knight was a former U.S. Marine. He was assigned in Egypt together with his employer, Raoul Bushman who betrayed him and left him to die in the desert.

Spector was eventually found by Egyptians passing by. These Egyptians took him to their temple where it was revealed that they worship the lunar god Khonshu. He is said to have to sen a vision of Khonshu who offers to bring him back to life only if he becomes his avatar on Earth.

Once Spector was healed and got his strength back, he returned to America to take revenge on Bushman.

The Moon Knight used his fortune to arm himself and eventually had gone to fight street-level crime. It is also revealed that he doesn’t socialize much with other superheroes. This is because he possesses two alternate personalities, himself and the other is with the voice of Khonshu.

The Moon Knight series is rumored to be released in 2022.
