Ryan Reynolds' return to the DC Extended Universe has been the focus of rumors as of late, with fans convinced that he'll reprise his role of Green Lantern in Zack Snyder's Justice League. In addition, some fans also got behind the rumor that the actor will be playing Hawkman in Black Adam. Reynolds recently addressed those reports, and it seems like these are just the fans' wishful thinking.

Taking to social media, Reynolds debunked the Hawkman rumor but floated the idea of a Snyder Cut appearance. "I'm not playing Hawkman in Black Adam," the actor wrote. "Although I generally do whatever the hell [Dwayne Johnson] tells me to do."

"I would however love to be in Zack Snyder's Justice League movie," he adds. "And I've heard I may already be in it."

Reynolds is known for making humorous remarks on social media so it is possible that he might just be joking around about potentially being in Zack Snyder's Justice League. That said, we can't completely rule out that possibility, with him making an appearance in some form.

While a Green Lantern certainly sounds exciting, fans are also looking forward to bringing Reynolds' Deadpool to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which hopefully happens very soon.

Zack Snyder's Justice League and Black Adam are both set for release in 2021.
