We'll finally be able to see the big finale to the Skywalker Saga when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres roughly a month from now. And even though we are nearing the movie's release, details are still kept tightly under wraps, which got fans speculating and making theories left and right. Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron in the franchise, provided us quite a bit of information on what to expect in the movie.

In a recent interview with Total Film (via Games Radar), Isaac revealed some details from the film's script. He claims that fans will able to know that the Sith and the Jedi "have been playing a very long game." Isaac is actually pertaining to a chess match.

He claims that "from the get-go," a chess match is already apparent. "All these pieces have been played. And now we get to see who gets checkmate," Isaac added. The actor could be suggesting that both the Dark and Light sides are making up strategies to get the other in a position where one can't escape anymore.

There aren't many details revealed from Isaac's statement but fans will definitely be piecing this together into something that is essential within the story's plotline. In chess, of course, there are players, and a queen to protect. As for those pieces, there's no telling who is who within the story because J.J, Abrams' take on Episode IX would be quite unpredictable.

Abrams also mentioned that there will be "mind-boggling challenges" within the film and that this ending could be a "tricky thing."
