It's no secret that Star Wars fans are excited to see Ewan McGregor return as Obi-Wan Kenobi in his own Disney+ series. Although there is not much known about it yet, it seems like we'd get to see another familiar face in the upcoming show.

According to FandomWire, their sources have revealed that Lucasfilm is casting for a young Luke Skywalker for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. This isn't a surprise since it is already known that the show is set eight years after Revenge of the Sith.

With a young Luke to be allegedly included in the show, this means that the story will somehow reflect his distant relationship with the Jedi Master. That being said, his exact role in the series is yet to be known.

On the other hand, a recent report from Backstage shows that an undisclosed Disney TV show is looking to cast a "Blond male talent, aged 8-11, with blue eyes," as well as a "brunette female talent, aged 8-11, with brown eyes." As mentioned, these castings aren't confirmed to be specifically for the Kenobi series but based on the description, some fans think it's likely that the characters described were a young Luke and Leia.

For now, this casting hasn't been confirmed yet, but it would surely be cool to feature a young Luke in the show.

The untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Needless to say, fans are very much curious and excited to learn more about the Jedi Master and what he has been up to during those times.

A release date for the show is yet to be announced, but in the meantime, you could check out Star Wars: The Mandalorian which is available to stream on Disney+.
