It's no secret that everyone isn't a fan of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, with the final installment of the Skywalker Saga becoming a disappointment for some. While the sequel trilogy movies were a blockbuster success, they got a mixed reception from the fans. Now, a rumor suggests that Lucasfilm has a plan to "save" the franchise that ought to get us intrigued.

The rumor comes from Overlord DVD on YouTube, claiming that his source tells Lucasfilm will "hit the reset button and fix everything." The studio is reportedly planning to use The Veil of The Force from Star Wars Rebels.

The Veil is a mystical dimension that connects all of time and space, wherein flashbacks of past events and things that are yet to happen can be seen. A secret plan is rumored to already be "in motion," in which The Veil will be used to "make an alternate timeline and reclassify the sequels as Star Wars Legends." The sequel trilogy will then have its own timeline and will be "eliminated" from canon in that way.

The scooper claims this plan exists, but there is a faction of the studio allegedly opposed to it, with Kathleen Kennedy knowing its existence and is "doing everything she can to stop it."

While some fans would want this to happen, the scooper notes that the details presented are what he believes have "the most chance to be genuine," pointing out that fans should take this rumor with a grain of salt.
