Netflix Confirms Lucifer Season 5 Leaked Premiere Date

Lucifer is officially returning to Netflix for its fifth season this summer!

Prior to the official announcement from the streaming giant, Lucifer fans spotted a note on the title page of the show revealing its release date, resulting in speculations that Netflix accidentally leaked the premiere date. It was then quickly removed by the streaming platform, until its reveal today!

Netflix recently made the announcement on Twitter, saying that Lucifer Season 5 will premiere on August 21st. A "devilish" 66.6-second trailer comes along with it, giving a steamy look at star Tom Ellis. You can check out the post below!

While the fifth season is yet to make its debut, Netflix is already looking to continue on with the sixth season. While there were some hiccups along the way in terms of contract negotiations, Ellis secured his return and Season 6 will officially move forward with showrunner Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson.

It's going to be quite an interesting season, seeing as Season 5 was meant to serve as the series' ending. Sure enough, fans are curious to see how the fifth season episodes will set up the following sixth season.

Lucifer Season 5 premieres August 21st on Netflix.
