Marvel Studios is slowly getting its production wheels turning and is reportedly beginning preparation to resume filming for a couple of Disney+ series. Now, it seems like casting for Ms. Marvel is taking place as well.

According to The Illuminerdi, their sources revealed that the production team at Marvel Studios is currently looking to cast two different parts for the Ms. Marvel series, one male and female characters. The outlet says both characters are set to appear in four of the six episodes of the series.

The male role's code name is Omar, with the casting call describing him as a Pakistani American in his mid-to-late 20's. He's also a practicing Muslim and a "self-proclaimed wiser older brother," as well as a modern and spirited character.

On the other hand, the female character's code name is Willow. She is listed as a 16 to a 20-year-old American teenager who is either of Turkish, Moroccan or Arab descent. She's described as someone who's "active in student organizations with a love of being in charge." Willow is also a hijabi Muslim, and is "woke, popular, stylish, and smart."

The outlet speculates that Omar could be Kamala's older brother, Aamir Khan, while Willow is the hero's best friend, Nakia Bahadir. The pair's descriptions seem to fit that of the characters in the comics and both play an important part in Kamala's life.

Aside from the casting call, the outlet says the listing also provided a production date of November 2020 until March 2021, which should put Ms. Marvel on track for its 2022 Disney+ release.
