Marvel Reveals Updated Release Schedule, New Empyre Event

The comics direct market is now back open for business following Diamond Comic Distributors halting shipping for new products. Fans can now prepare for the return of some new comics as well as the start of the Empyre event with Marvel's updated release schedule.

Marvel shared its updated schedule for fans to find comics that have been delayed since April. The list also provides dates for new releases in May, June, and July, including ones for X-Men, Avengers, and more. Empyre, the summer crossover event, will launch in July.

"We know Marvel fans are eager to dive back into the Marvel Universe," Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski said in the announcement. "And we can't wait to bring you spectacular new stories with stunning art every Wednesday."

Wednesday, July 15th, will see the first issue of Empyre, along with Giant-Size X-Men: Magneto and 2020 iWolverine. There are also collections for Amazing Spider-Man: Full Circle, The Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Vol. 1, Conan: Serpent War, and many more! July 22nd sees the second issue for Empyre, along with Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. Eternals, Venom, and Avengers collections will also be released.

Marvel promises to "keep a balanced release schedule" and fans can look forward to "even more releases" starting mid-July. You can check out the full updated release schedule here!
