Mace Windu Enjoys A Turkey Leg In Star Wars: Attack of the Clones BTS Photo

It would seem that Samuel L. Jackson and Ewan McGregor liked to goof around on the set of the Star Wars prequels, but this one image definitely captures the best of it.

In an Attack of the Clones behind-the-scenes photo shared by Reddit__PI, Jackson can be seen holding a turkey leg in his Mace Windu costume. It looks like he's taken a big bite out of it already and is getting ready for another.

Making this photo more amazing is the fact that McGregor is pictured mid-jump, not in the least bit bothered by his co-star. In fact, everybody else in this photo looks as if they are used to Jackson walking around chomping a massive turkey leg in the middle of the shoot. George Lucas can actually be seen in the background and he seems to be more focused on filming McGregor's scene. Check out the image below.

This is another evidence that Jackson is just the boss, part of the reason why the Star Wars community just can't get enough of him.

Fans won't forget how he approached Lucas to change the color of his lightsaber to purple. Even though he carried one in The Phantom Menace, he wasn't shown using the weapon. That's why come Attack of the Clones, the behind-the-scenes tweak didn't make for any complications. However, comic books did explore and provide an explanation behind the switch, which you can read here.

It's moments like this that fans wish Mace Windu return to Star Wars. Jackson has time and again expressed his interest to reprise his iconic role. While Revenge of the Sith assumes that the character died, fans are holding out hope that he can come back. After all, if Darth Maul, who was cut in half, can do it, someone as badass as Mace Windu can too.

While promoting Captain Marvel, he was asked about the possibility of exploring the character's early years, with the help of the same technology used to de-age him in the Brie Larson film.

"Well, we've got Lola [VFX], they've got Lola, it's theirs, let's see what happens. I'm down with it," the actor said. "I've still got my purple lightsaber, I'm ready," he went on to say.

Last year, he even shared his own theory on how Mace Windu may still be alive. "You know, it's not that crazy that Jedi can fall from great heights and survive. And how many one-handed people are roaming about in that galaxy? Quite a few," he said.

"I've still got the old Jedi spirit. I'm down. If they call me, I'll show up - hell, I'm hanging around just for that. I'd even show up as a hologram or some s**t," he continued.
