With the many films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the many cameo appearances they feature, you'd think that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who made it all happen, should have one already.
Directors like Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) featured in their own movies and the legend Stan Lee was in every single one. When's Feige's turn? It turns out he already had one, but it isn't something anyone would have ever guessed.
When asked during a Reddit AMA if he would ever appear in a future film, he revealed that he likes it behind the camera, but did film a cameo for the first X-Men that eventually got deleted. Even if it made the cut, fans probably won't even recognize him anyway.
"I don't like being on camera, but I did cameo in a deleted scene in the first X-Men as a Weapon X technician," I was completely covered in a hood, mask, and goggles," he went on to say.
Unfortunately, it looks like we won't ever get to see that cameo. Despite this, some Redditors tried to get something more out of the Marvel honcho about the subject, steering the conversation to the possibility of mutants joining the MCU.
Sadly, the efforts were all for naught. In fact, there were quite a few X-Men-related questions thrown Feige's way during the Reddit AMA, but it looks like he isn't ready to divulge anything yet.
He did tease that we will be getting some news soon enough. As for the X-Men, who are finally coming home following the 20th Century Fox acquisition, the Marvel Studios boss has said in the past that it might be a while before they are officially introduced to the MCU, especially someone like Wolverine.
Either way, it looks like Feige has a lot up his sleeves. For now, fans can focus on Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is expected to set up some big things to come.
