Despite being included in the cast of Arrow for a whole season, Katherine McNamara, who plays Mia Smoak in the series, was revealed to be geeking out on the set of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

In a recent interview with Comic Book, the actress talked about how she is very much excited to play the part in the show since she has been fond of superheroes growing up. When asked about any details regarding the Arrowverse crossover, she said, "I can't say too much about the Crisis." However, she admits that she did a "fair amount of fangirling" while on set.

McNamara shares about how there are "special moments" that take place while she's just sitting on set. She even claims that while she's having a casual conversation with someone, she just looks around and realizes she's surrounded by "so many iconic costumes," and things that have served as symbols of "heroism" for decades. She said those are the kind of moments that she recognizes as something "special," and are times she would want to "take in."

The actress mentioned how she is "grateful" to be doing the role and had an opportunity to be part of the project.

The outlet also asked McNamara what she watched as a kid. She said she grew up watching the old Justice League cartoons. She admits that Marvel and DC movies occupied the blockbusters every year, in most of her life. And since she is now playing as one of those heroes, she claims it's a responsibility that she doesn't take lightly.

The actress also described working with Stephen Amell as something "wonderful," because she got to watch him play out the role and the legacy of the character. "And it's been great to follow in his footsteps, in a sense," she added.

Catch Katherine McNamara on Arrow Season 8 which airs every Tuesday on The CW Network.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will start with Supergirl on Dec. 8, and continue with Batwoman (Dec. 9) and The Flash (Dec. 10). The whole event ends on Jan. 14 with Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
