In the 2017 movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the self-centered and popular girl Bethany got to pick Jack Black's character, Shelly, as the "curvy genius" in the game, thinking that she'll play a woman's avatar. And even though she got around to appreciating the character by the end of the movie, she might be facing a very unexpected journey with an entirely different character in The Next Level.

Sony Pictures released a new poster for the movie which shows the stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. And in addition to that, a black horse is included in the photo as well.

In the new trailer, Bethany, Morgan, and Fridge went to visit Spencer to see what he has been up to. They stumbled upon the game in Spencer's basement which led them to believe that he tried to fix it and he somehow got sucked into the game again. They decided to save Spencer, but they got already entered in the game even without choosing their characters.

Danny Devito and Danny Glover's characters were also sucked into the game. When they landed in the forest, Bethany wasn't playing as one of the main characters of the game. And it was later revealed that the black horse in the poster was actually Bethany.

When Nick Jonas' McDonough character claimed that Bethany was the horse, Mouse confirmed it when the horse neighed. He was able to translate what it said because he apparently understands horse language. "She says, ‘Oh my god, like, I'm a total horse," Mouse translates.

Shelly even pitched in saying, "Yep, that's Bethany." This confirms that Bethany didn't even play as a human, but somehow she got in as an animal in the game.

One thing I was curious about is towards the end of the trailer. It was shown that the game somehow glitched, making Bethany turn back into Shelly's character. This could suggest that there would be multiple body and character swaps in the movie as a twist.

Jumanji: The Next Level premieres on December 13.
