Recent reports revealed that Colin Farrel is in talks with Warner Bros to play The Penguin in Matt Reeves' The Batman. And amidst all sorts of reaction from DC fans, Josh Gad has something to say about the Penguin casting.

The Frozen star took to Twitter to post a photo of the iconic villain along with a caption that's simple and hilarious but is sort of cryptic as well since there could be some other underlying meaning to his question. You can check out his recent tweet below.

If you weren't aware, Gad has been campaigning to play Penguin for around two years now. However, he admits that he was only trolling the fans and is just having fun with them. He even tweeted back in October to confirm that he will not be playing the said villain despite his previous tweets but is open to doing so. Since Farrel is already in talks with the company, it's not looking good for Gad if he actually wanted to play Penguin since it won't be unlikely that Farrel could get the role. But then again, Jonah Hill was reportedly in talks to play a villain in The Batman before as well so Gad shouldn't lose hope.

Aside from Farell, news has gone out about Andy Serkis in talks to play Alfred in the film too. So far, only Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, and Paul Dano are the ones confirmed to star in the movie. And as always, most of the details regarding the upcoming movie are still kept under wraps.

The Batman premieres on June 25, 2021.
