The Skywalker Saga will come to a close when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker makes its way to theaters roughly a month from now. And while fans are excited to see how the story pans out for the heroes, it seems like some feel that Finn's character didn't have much of a development in the previous movies. And now, John Boyega weighs in on the topic.

Boyega recently tweeted a photo showing a sneak-peek of his character Finn in The Rise of Skywalker. A few weeks later, a fan replied to the photo and shared his sentiments about how Finn's character was "completely wasted" in Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi. However, the fan pointed out that he loved Finn's character from the start.

Boyega replied to the fan assuring him that his opinion was heard. He then urged the fan to watch Episode IX because he was "really adamant" to give his character some more involvement in the upcoming movie. You can check out their conversation below.

It isn't clear as to what Boyega is trying to imply in his tweet. However, this could suggest that Finn may have a bigger role in the upcoming film compared to the last ones. There's also the possibility that, somehow, Finn is caught up in a love triangle between Rey and Rose Tico; so the story might touch upon that as well. For now, we would just have to wait for what fate is in store for Finn in The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres on December 20.
