It's only a few weeks away until we get to see Joaquin Phoenix in Todd Phillips' Joker. Following this release are two much-anticipated DC movies. Birds of Prey which centers around Harley Quinn's character and is supposed to be a "girl gang movie." And the sequel for The Suicide Squad featuring the return of the characters as well as an introduction for new ones.

Phillips' Joker is seen to make an 82 million dollar debut in October and fans are hyped up on what comes next for the Clown Prince of Crime. Talks on Phoenix as Joker has been circulating the internet. Like with all the previous actors who played Joker in the past, fans keep their eye on these actors making sure they fit into the role of the villain's insanity and madness.

One particular actor remains to be in the spotlight as the Joker who has made a division among the fans. Jared Leto, who plays the iconic villain in Ayer's Suicide Squad. Fans were intrigued with his recent Instagram post, a photo that might be considered a teaser for his return. See photo below:

Apparently, Leto has a new pink hairdo. Though, he captioned the photo with only a ghost emoji.

Fans were all over this photo as his post may hint to a possible return as Joker in the upcoming movies Birds of Prey or Suicide Squad 2.

He did not go further into detail with regards to his photo. Since Leto is known to post pictures on Instagram with different time periods, it is unclear whether this was a photo from 2015 (where his pink hair made its debut) or is actually a recent one.

Although there were rumors of a Joker scene in Birds of Prey, it looks like Leto isn't returning as the villain anytime soon. Especially since James Gunn released the full cast for his upcoming movie, which Leto's name isn't apart of. Nevertheless, fans wish Leto the best as he is apparently focusing on his music nowadays.

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is set to premiere on February 7, 2020, while The Suicide Squad is scheduled on August 6, 2021.
