Hilarious Star Wars: ROTS Set Photo Shows Cast Awkward Around Each Other

A hilarious behind-the-scenes photo from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith has found its way online and this is a special one because it shows cast members looking awkward around each other.

In the image shared on Reddit, you can see that actors Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and Ian McDermid are sitting together on set but aren't speaking to each other.

With all of them are in costume, it becomes so easy to make up a scenario using the characters they portray, which is, of course, what fans proceeded to do. Some imagine that what was going on in this Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith photo was the Emperor asking them about how they like the Dark Side.

Their reactions in the photo definitely match the expected reactions of their characters. Obi-Wan doesn't want to hear it, Mace Windu wants to the senator's mouth shut, and Anakin, well, is too shy to admit he actually wants to hear what the secret Sith Lord has to say.

Another way of looking at it is that Obi-Wan and Mace Windu just can't deal with these two Sith supporters any longer. Check out the photo below:

It also looks like Obi-Wan just doesn't want to be bothered while Mace Windu looks a bit pissed. Anakin seems like the one who made it all awkward (probably asking them if they share his hatred for sand) while Palpatine has that face when someone makes a stupid or annoying comment. The fact that he stares into the camera as if prompting you to see what the Chosen One did makes it extra hilarious.

In reality, they may have only been waiting for the cameras to start rolling again and that they may just be too tired to talk. Either way, the photo makes for another hilarious and amazing relic from the Star Wars prequels. Thanks to its meme potential, it inspired a caption contest.

What do you think was up in the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith photo?
