HBO is hopping in on the streaming wars amongst the likes of Apple, Disney, Amazon, and Netflix with a new streaming platform of their own called HBO Max. And included within the launch are DC movies along with some new projects in the works.

Announced on Twitter by the company, recent DC movies will be included such as the Wonder Woman movie, Suicide Squad, Man of Steel, among others. Also, a huge selection of Superman and Batman movies from the last 40 years will be featured in HBO Max as well. An additional treat for DC fans would be Todd Phillips' Joker movie, which was released earlier this year, to also be available at launch.

Greg Berlanti, who created DC shows such as Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow, will also be working on two new series. One would be a new show for Green Lantern, as well as a Strange Adventures series. Season 2 of Doom Patrol would also be included, along with a new series DC Superhero High.

You can check out the tweet below along with some other announcements for the upcoming streaming platform.

It's delightful to know that Joker would already be available, especially since HBO Max will launch in the spring of 2020. Which is pretty early considering it only made its debut in October this year. It's also refreshing to see a new take on the live-action Green Lantern after the divisive movie from 2011 with which Ryan Reynolds starred in.

HBO Max is set to launch sometime around May of 2020, and is anticipated to premiere 10,000 hours of content.
