The fourth episode of The Mandalorian finally featured the debut of the former Imperial Shock Trooper named Cara Dune, who is played by former MMA fighter Gina Carano. And while the actor proved she's a perfect fit for her character, Carano initially had no idea what she was going to get into upon knowing she'll be included in the show.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Carano revealed that she thought she was going to play a Wookiee. "I thought I was going to be like the female Chewbacca," the actor said. She went on about how she's ready to take on the role, and just put on a fur outfit.
She also said that she was surprised to know her character was "one of the few people" whose face is going to be seen in the show. Carano admitted that it's "pretty incredible" too, since "in a lot of scenes," sometimes, it's "the only face" you'll see.

Carano is currently filming for season two of The Mandalorian, which suggests that despite Mando leaving her behind at Sorgan, we might get to see the two team-up again really soon. This also suggests that fans of Carano will be happy to know that they'd get to see more scenes of the actor in the show.

In addition, she also revealed to the outlet that The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau actually wrote Cara Dune's character with Carano specifically in mind. She claimed that she didn't audition for anything or anyone else for the role.

Well, it's certainly a good thing that Carano plays the role of Cara Dune. In my opinion, she fits the role perfectly and makes the character really believable.
