The internet went into a frenzy when Baby Yoda was introduced in the first episode of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. By now, it's pretty clear that everyone has fallen for the adorable yet mysterious creature, including the Star Wars creator himself.

Taking to Twitter, The Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau shared a photo that'll surely get the fans excited. The image shows George Lucas cradling the Child in his arms in the set of the popular Disney+ series. You can check it out below.

It isn't certain as to when this photo was taken since Lucas was revealed to have visited the set when they filmed the first season. With the production of Season 2 well underway, it could be possible that he went to the set once again. Regardless, the photo will definitely be cherished by Star Wars fans for years to come.

The Child seems to be much more central to the story in the second season. Based on the last episode, it looks like Mando is set out on a mission to bring him to his home planet to reunite with his own kind. Aside from getting a glimpse of his extraordinary abilities, there's not much known about the creature yet. His name is yet to be revealed as well, and Taika Waititi even teased that the character could be female.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 1 is available to stream on Disney+ and Season 2 is set to come out later this year.
