Black Widow has already finished filming last month. The standalone film is a much-anticipated project since Scarlett Johansson has been in the MCU for years now. Fans will finally be able to learn more about Natasha Romanoff's past. The film is set to release next year and Florence Pugh, who is set to play Yelena Belova, shares her thoughts about the movie.

Pugh recently made an appearance in Variety's Actors on Actors series where she sat down with Booksmart's Beanie Feldstein. She talked about her preparation once she landed the role as well as the places they filmed at. Pugh also shared her experience in working with a woman director. She says Cate Shortland was "the most beautiful and warm director," and that working with her was a "very unique and special experience."

As for the movie itself, Pugh described it as something that is "very raw and very painful and very beautiful." She claims that people will be surprised that an action film such as Black Widow will have so much heart. She thinks a lot of people will be emotional about Johansson's character since she had a "hard ending" in Avengers: Infinity War.

She also mentioned that for the movie to be Johansson's was "special." Pugh thinks Black Widow "is so her," and is thankful that she got to be there and witness how she does her stunts.

Many fans will agree with Pugh since a lot of the audience was shocked by Black Widow's sudden death in Infinity War. Romanoff's last movie will be very special for both Johansson and the fans who have loved her character ever since Iron Man 2.

Black Widow also stars Rachel Weisz, O-T Fagbenie, Ray Winstone, and Olivier Richters. The movie is scheduled for release on May 1, 2020.
