Marvel's plans for Phase 4 of Marvel Cinematic Universe is making quite a bit of a buzz. As Marvel Studios President aims to make diversity and representation the very basis and future of Marvel.

According to We Got This Covered, a rumor is going around with regards to race bending X-Men as well as Wolverine. Ultimately, none of these rumors aren't confirmed yet since Marvel hasn't announced any official plans for X-Men. And since the studio is working on Phase 4 and 5, we might not be getting any news yet.

The said rumor proposes that Kevin Feige is on the hunt for persons of color to take part in different major characters such as Magneto and Professor X in the MCU. Along with these rumors is the casting of The Equalizer 2 star Denzel Washington.

Washington is rumored to be up for the role of Erik Lehnsher, one of the most powerful mutants as well as X-Men's most dangerous enemy. Together with Washington, Giancarlo Esposito, who played Jorge in the movie Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, is also being eyed on for the role of Magneto.

Marvel isn't new to race bending characters as it is evident from MJ who played Zendaya in the recent Spider-Man movies as well as Anthony Mackie who served as Captain America's replacement.

As always, we advise you to take these rumors with a grain of salt since Marvel only has the aforementioned actors on their wishlist. Of course, Washington and Esposito aren't the only ones being eyed on for the said roles. In fact, they haven't even contacted the two to make an offer for the role yet.

With regards to the X-Men's debut, Kevin Feige is yet to make an announcement for the X-Men might appear years away from now. That being said, fans should not fret because Marvel recently released an official trailer for X-Men Dawn of X comics featuring six new series following Jonathan Hickman's House of X and Powers of X miniseries.
