Ahead of Stargirl's debut, promotional materials for the series indicate that a brand new generation of the Justice Society of America will make its way to the small screen. However, it looks like the latest episode might have teased the arrival of a new Green Lantern.

Titled "Icicle," the third installment of Stargirl has seemingly laid the groundwork for the introduction of a new version of Green Lantern. Towards the end of the episode, Pat Dugan took Courtney to the old JSA Headquarters where a shrine is located dedicated to the fallen heroes who weren't able to defeat the Injustice Society.

Dugan pointed out that they were finished as being the heroes of Blue Valley for now. However, Courtney can't accept this and used the Cosmic Staff to return later with a bag and steal the hero's lantern. Aside from that, Stargirl also took the Thunderbolt, a pink pen that Dugan described as the "most dangerous thing" at the shrine. This ends by Courtney turning to the Staff with a smile, saying, "Let's go do some recruiting."

While it is already known that the series is set to feature new incarnations of Hourman, Wildcat, and Doctor Mid-Nite, Green Lantern wasn't teased or revealed prior to the show's release, with the lamp serving as an indication of a modern-day Green Lantern's arrival.
