With a Ms. Marvel series set to arrive soon on Disney+, Kamala Khan will serve as one of the new faces to be introduced that’ll shape the future the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, before that happens, it seems like she’ll be making her way to the Captain Marvel sequel first.
According to The Direct, Ms. Marvel will be making an appearance in Captain Marvel 2. She’ll have a supporting role, alongside other “important” MCU characters. The film is said to be a “mini-Avengers film,” and will adapt the Secret Invasion storyline.
As fans may already know, Captain America: Civil War was described as a mini-Avengers film as well, featuring the introduction of Black Panther and Spider-Man. It makes sense for Ms. Marvel to appear in Captain Marvel 2 considering how the film is described. This could be a way to establish her character and get fans ready for her eventual arrival on Disney+.
Should Ms. Marvel make her debut in the second Captain Marvel movie, with her series already announced even before this, it shows that Marvel Studios is anticipating the character to be essential for its future,
The outlet also points out that it’ll be a great way to introduce Ms. Marvel by “learning the ropes” from Captain Marvel, setting up what she could potentially do in her (likely) many appearances in the future.
Captain Marvel 2 is set for release in 2022.
