The Knights of Ren were first seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And ever since, fans have always been captivated by their ominous presence and mystery. Fans didn’t get to see much of them since they didn’t appear in The Last Jedi. However, The Rise of Skywalker is expected to show more of these characters, and C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels revealed an exclusive detail about the Knights of Ren in his new book.

This article contains potential spoilers for The Rise of Skywalker.

Over at Reddit, user readytokno shared what he had read from Daniels’ book titled I Am C-3PO – The Inside Story. The Redditor paraphrased Daniels’ words but he basically said that there was a scene where the team is trying to escape from the Knights of Ren “down narrow cobbled streets.” He then pointed out that Daniels “bonded” with Keri Rusell, who will play Zorii Bliss, about their uncomfy costumes.

This also coincides with Star Wars News Net’s report about Daniels revealing a potential big spoiler about the Knights of Ren being in Kijimi, according to what Daniels described in his book.

Inverse even pointed out that the part the Redditor mentioned could suggest that Daniels’ scene with Rusell may point to Zorii and C-3PO working together on a mission. They could also possibly be hunted down by the Knights of Ren and are followed to planet Kijimi.

This part of Daniels’ book could very well be suggesting that the Knights of Ren have a bigger role than just appearing for a brief time in the movie and leaving their characters as a mystery. However, there’s no telling if these Knights are actually just part of a flashback or that they’re actually working for someone. Regardless, it’s nice to know that the Knights of Ren will have a potentially significant part in the movie.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20.
