Forget Thor and Captain Marvel, here's a ship that you can get on board with! Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson have fans hoping for a romance between Captain Marvel and Valkyrie in their latest Twitter interaction.
A fan created an artwork that imagines the two characters in love. The image shows Captain Marvel carrying Valkyrie as if they are newlyweds as they lovingly stare into each other's eyes.
Larson immediately took notice, sharing the art on her Twitter along with a short and sweet caption that read, "We cute." Thompson couldn't agree more, writing back, "WHAT. we so cute." Check out their tweets below.
Could this romance ever happen onscreen? Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has said in the past that a current MCU character was actually written as LGBT even though it wasn't explicitly mentioned. He even hinted that it could actually be Valkyrie.
While Carol Danvers is alive and safe come Avengers: Endgame, the same cannot be said about Valkyrie. Thankfully, even though there is no sign of her in Infinity War it has been confirmed that she will be in the next film. Thompson, as well as the Russo brothers, have confirmed that badass warrior did survive the snap.
Her absence is understandable since the focus is on the original heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The two have yet to meet, but with Captain Marvel in it for the long haul and the two characters being of cosmic territory, they might cross each other's paths at some point.
Valkyrie's last appearance was in Thor: Ragnarok. There, it was hinted that a romance between her and Thor might be possible. However, with Captain Marvel also vying for her heart, fans wouldn't mind a love triangle.
Avengers: Endgame hits the theaters April 26.
