A new Star Wars Kids animation for its Galaxy of Adventures series rewrites a gentler fate for fan-favorite Boba Fett and introduces a version of Leia that fans never knew they needed.

In Return of the Jedi, fans will remember that the bounty hunter was doomed to die at the hands or should we say, at the mouth of the Sarlacc. However, this isn't quite the case in the new animation.

We get to see Luke go toe to toe with Boba Fett in the early parts of the clip. He was never seen again after he fires at the Jedi. He wasn't shown being knocked into the pit as he did in the Star Wars film, and fans didn't fail to notice the glaring omission.

Technically, there is no definitive answer to the question of whether or not the character is dead or alive. So it is understandable that the Star Wars Kids animation also gave a non-answer knowing the unsolved mystery surrounding the character's fate.

Although for a moment, many believed they will see the character on the big screen once more. Obviously, this didn't pan out, or at least not yet. There is also no indication that Boba Fett will make an appearance in the first ever Star Wars live-action series, The Mandalorian, so we might never know the answer.

However, a lot of fans would like to think that he lived to see another day. After all, he has plenty of time to survive since it takes Sarlacc years to be able to digest its prey.

Meanwhile, the Star Wars Kids animation also sees Leia take part in the battle. We see her take out a few baddies before she reaches the gun and ends the battle. She does what some fans described as a Chun-Li dropkick because she looked a lot like the Tekken character when she did because of the outfit and the muscular legs.

We don't remember this happening in Return of the Jedi, but it was definitely a welcome change. That unofficial Tekken and Star Wars crossover was awesome. Watch the video below.
