The Arrowverse continues to strengthen its efforts in LGBT representation with characters from Black Lightning who are on the brink of marriage. There have already been gay characters within the shared universe who are married, one being Captain Singh on The Flash as well as Arrow's Mr. Terrific.

Focusing on Black Lightning, the characters in question are Anissa and Grace. In the latest episode, the pair got into a serious conversation about their relationship where the latter admits that she could see herself staying with Grace forever.

Both characters invited over Jefferson, Lyn, and Jennifer over for dinner to discuss their plans to get married and are even planning on doing it right away. However, Painkiller isn't making this any easier for them since he's tracking them down.

Just before they were about to get married, Black Lightning learned that Gravedigger was already at the Freeland perimeter, with Jennifer already face to face with him. Jefferson and the rest of the crew went to confront the villain but it was quite a tricky situation, considering that the character can mimic other metahuman powers as he pleases.

Going back to Grace and Anissa, the pair have actually always been a couple ever since Grace appeared on the show. In the comics, Grace served as the member of Outsiders in which she and Anissa actually serve as teammates and significant others.

Black Lightning airs on Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. "The Book of War: Chapter Three" will debut on March 9.
