Prior to Avengers: Endgame's release, a scene from the film was released which involves Brie Larson's Captain Marvel and Chris Hemsworth's Thor. Some fans claim that they hear a whisper just right before the two characters face each other, with Captain Marvel allegedly saying that she has telepathy. While fans are led to believe that she is able to do so, it looks like this isn't one of the abilities that'll be added on her list.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Russo was asked if the Captain Marvel theory was true. "No," he said upfront. "There's no truth to that whatsoever." Russo pointed out that they did remove a lot of Easter eggs in these films over the years, but the telepathy theory isn't one of the things they "buried."

If you weren't aware of the clip, here it is with maximized volume shared by MCU Cosmic for fans to have their take on the said theory. Check it out below.

Although it would be cool for Carol Danvers to be able to have telepathy and showcase it a cool way in the film, it isn't one of the things she's able to do amongst a handful of amazing abilities.

It is possible that fans might have recognized something else within all the sounds heard in the clip, which is referred to as human pattern recognition. Since someone has mentioned that it sounded like Captain Marvel was saying, "I have telepathy," it could have trained the brain to hear what they wanted to hear from the clip.
