One of the most anticipated shows to hit Disney+ in the near future is She-Hulk. The show is expected to start filming in July but Marvel is yet to announce which actress will be playing the role of Jennifer Walters. On that note, rumors got around earlier this week which suggests that the studio is looking for an "Alison Brie-type" to play the part, and the actress has finally responded.

In a recent appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the host asked Brie when she found out about the said rumors and what her reaction was when it got trending on Twitter. "I don't really go on Twitter anymore," Brie said. "So I didn't really realize it was such a trending thing."

Brie says she just woke up to "a lot" of posts on Instagram with edits that put her pictures side by side with She-Hulk. She admitted that she thought it was "cool" and pointed out the "Alison Brie-type" quote. She found it "exciting" too because she has been auditioning for the "Anne Hathaway-type" or the "Zooey Deschanel-type" for years. "I was like very flattered to be my own type for somebody else," she added.

Pressing for answers, Corden asked, "But did you go, ‘Hang on a minute, I'd like to play the She-Hulk'?" To which the actress replied coyly, "I made some phone calls and we'll talk about it later."
Corden asked if she really did make the phone call, but Brie insists that she actually didn't, and said "no" multiple times. However, the host was still pressing her for answers. "But did you not want to play She-Hulk?" Corden asked. "I find it interesting," Brie said with a laugh. Ending the conversation, Corden admits that he's already convinced that Brie will be playing the part.

Brie is best known for her roles in Community and Glow, and a portion of the fans actually want the actress to play the role. For now, it isn't clear if she is keeping it a secret or she won't really play the part, so fans would have to wait and see which actor Marvel casts for the show.

There is no release date for She-Hulk announced yet.
