With The Rise of Skywalker premiere just around the corner, Star Wars fans are curious to see what fate lies ahead for Kylo Ren. He has always been conflicted and torn between the Light Side and the Dark Side, so there's no telling if he'll ever have a redemption arc in the upcoming film. But Adam Driver offers us a bit of hint on what to expect in the movie.

In a recent interview with IANS, Driver details his role as the antagonist in the sequel trilogy. He claims that Kylo's character graph is "interesting" because it's "completely opposite" to what the fans expect from a character belonging to the Dark Side. He also admits that this has "opened" his "imagination" as an actor.

The actor also recalled a time when he met director J.J. Abrams for the first time. He said Abrams told him that he should "imagine a journey of a character completely opposite to Darth Vader."
Driver admits that he "liked" the director's idea and that the character, has indeed, evolved that way. He also mentioned that he liked the idea of playing someone who "starts as a child and becomes a man over the course of three movies."

"He becomes closer to his convictions, becomes more assured about his choices," Driver added. However, Kylo has also "metaphorically and physically killed his father" in the process of becoming his own person.
