Joss Whedon Officially Receiving Writing Credit For Justice League

When Joss Whedon took control over Justice League after Zack Snyder stepped down from the director's seat to focus on his family after the passing of his daughter, reports had it that the Batgirl director wouldn't be given any director's credit for working on Justice League.

Now, an official announcement by Warner Bros. reveals that while the former Avengers filmmaker might not be getting a director's tag, Whedon will actually be credited as one of the writer's of the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe installment.

The revelation came through the studio's Fall Movie Preview (via Comicbook) with Warner Bros. listing down Whedon as one of Justice League's writers alongside Chris Terrio.

While there's no word on whether Warner Bros. will change its mind and add on a director's credit for Whedon's work on the reshoots, tagging the Batgirl director as one of the screenplay writers for Justice League says a lot. Though reports indicate that the superhero mash-up movie would keep to Snyder's vision, it's possible that Whedon's reshoots made a few changes to the film, enough for the studio to give him a writer's credit. The only question now is whether the result is any good. Let's hope so.
