Josh Brolin: Deadpool 2 Has Way More Action Than The First Movie

Though Tim Miller may not be coming back to direct the Deadpool sequel, he does have a fantastic replacement in the form of David Leitch. Josh Brolin is a newcomer in the franchise, but he does say that Leitch has definitely upped the ante when it comes to the action in Deadpool 2.

Talking to Collider, Brolin says:

"I had heard somewhere along the line, and I think it's okay for me to say this, but I heard somewhere along the line that they felt the first Deadpool didn't have enough action. […] With this movie, it's just a different deal. He embraces what he's very good at, which I think is very smart. There's ton of action in it. The tease is, a guy who's 49-years-old on the cusp of 50 who got in the best shape of his life, especially exteriorly, and I was extremely disciplined throughout that whole thing. I got beat to shit on that movie. That's all I know. I had stuntmen throwing me all over the place."

It's no joke that Leitch definitely has an eye for action. Other than his superb action work with the John Wick movies, his latest film, Atomic Blonde was also an action spectacle. We don't know what exactly he has planned for Deadpool 2, but hopefully Reynolds and Brolin will play their parts perfectly.

As of now, we still have no main idea on the plot for the Deadpool sequel, but we do know that the film will introduce fan-favorites like Cable and Domino to the big screen. We'll also be getting returning characters in the form of Weasel, Vanessa, Blind Al, and Dopinder the cab driver.

Deadpool 2 is set for a release on June 1, 2018.
