Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye Confirmed For Avengers 4

As fans ponder on who will survive Avengers: Infinity War and be a part of Avengers 4, social media has become a confirmer for those curious. For example, thanks to an Instagram post we now know that Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye will be a part of the fourth film, which should please those who weren't pleased with the archer's omission from the Infinity War trailer.

The post is a fairly simple one, Renner's shadow is seen and he is clearly wearing his Hawkeye gear. What makes this interesting is that we see Hawkeye and not Ronin, the heavily rumored counterpart of Clint Barton who might be appearing in both films. Renner was spotted with boots that clearly resemble Ronin from the comics but there have been no other signs of confirmation since.

Renner's absence in the Infinity War trailer was odd since many were hoping to get clues about what triggers his costume change. Many fans are speculating that his family will die during the Thanos invasion, while some think it's a disguise he will be using when the Avengers go to Japan.

Despite being a non-entity in the first Avengers film, the fate of Hawkeye in Infinity War has been a hot topic of discussion amongst fans. It's clear that many want to see Renner's character get a bigger role, even if it is a tragic one. Either way, there's no doubt that he will be an interesting character to watch.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 will come out on May 3, 2019.
