Jeff Goldblum Teases Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Details

The first Jurassic World was a surprise hit, surpassing Marvel's The Avengers in the box office and essentially starting a franchise for Universal. Soon enough, a sequel called Jurassic World:Fallen Kingdom has been announced with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard returning, along with Jurassic Park alumni Jeff Goldblum. During an interview with Radio Times, Goldblum decided to give a few vague hints about Ian Malcolm's return.

Like most actors, Goldblum was tight-lipped regarding definitive details about Malcolm's return to the sequel but did give some fun answers. He joked that the character has opened a jazz club where he plays every Wednesday. It's clear that the actor's wit was missed and it should be fun seeing him interact with Chris Pratt in the film.

"Ian Malcolm, yes, might be back in this one, and he might have something to say about the current confluence of circumstances around the use and misuse of technology. With some wry irony, deep wise passionate conviction, and he might put on a nice dark bit of clothing here and there … and a tint of glass maybe."

Fans haven't seen Goldblum in a Jurassic Park movie since The Lost World: Jurassic Park, a sequel to the first film. It didn't get good reviews and was hated by most that saw it, though some say that the third film is even worse. Jurassic World definitely helped the franchise regain some momentum and the sequel will need to be even better to maintain that.

Jurassic World:Fallen Kingdom hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
