Jeff Bridges Rumored to Play Darkseid in Justice League

There's already a fair amount of promotion for Zack Snyder's upcoming Justice League, but details about the film's villains are still being kept under wraps. Now, there's a new rumor claiming that Jeff Bridges will play Darkseid. Fans began discussing the rumor on Reddit about Jeff Bridges playing Darkseid yesterday mentioning the rumor that emerged on Facebook.

It's possible that the rumor could just be fan casting. Obviously the role would require CGI/Mo-cap work, but I think Jeff Bridges is not a bad choice to play the DC villain.

We know that the villain in Justice League film is Steppenwolf, one of Darkseid's lieutenants and was first seen in Batman v Superman, so it's possible that Darkseid might briefly appear in the film. It makes sense that he would appear in the film, and it's possible that Warner Bros. is holding off Darkseid until Justice League 2, but do they have to cast him this early?

Do you think Jeff Bridges fits the role of Darkseid? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is scheduled to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
