Jason Momoa Confirms That Justice League Will Have An After-Credits Scene

Even if after-credits scenes have been around since before Iron Man in 2008, MCU has made them a necessity for every superhero film, with fans wanting DC to follow suit. As it turns out, the upcoming Justice League will have an after-credits scene as well, and this is confirmed by Aquaman actor Jason Momoa.

Talking to BBC, Momoa was asked if they will have to wait for an extra scene after the credits to which he replies:

"They do. You've gotta sit through the whole thing and go through the credits… I forgot that it was in the script. It's fantastic."

With Momoa forgetting that the scene existed, I'm going to guess that he won't be part of it. A lot of fans are speculating that this will have to do with an upcoming hero which could either be Shazam!'s Captain Marvel or maybe even a new Green Lantern.

Though Marvel may have called dibs when it comes to after-credits scenes, I can imagine how difficult it is now not to have them in superhero films. With the DCEU building up a franchise, I think a scene in the credits is preferable to having an out of place plug within the actual movie. Fans may have preferred the League member breakdown in BvS more if it was placed after the credits as compared to being an unnatural segway in the movie.

We should all just blame Marvel for setting the standards when it comes to superhero films. Now fans feel cheated if there isn't an after-credits scene—whatever the movie.

Justice League hits theaters Nov. 17.
