Will Lady Stoneheart Show Up in Game of Thrones Season 6? These Details Hint At Her Appearance

"Warning: Game of Thrones spoilers ahead.

With another Game fo Thrones season coming this month, fans of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series are wondering if Lady Stoneheart will finally appear in Season 6.

The fan-favorite character — a resurrected "zombified version of Catelyn Stark who vows vengeance on all Freys and Boltons who participated in the Red Wedding — didn't appear in the Season 4 finale, and fans have been waiting for her to appear. Right now, she's still missing in action. Will they ever introduce the character in the show? Is she going to be in Season 6?

Accoding to the rumored episode titles for the upcoming season, it's likely that she will. Geekly Inc (via Bustle) reports that a "trusted source" has revealed that the second and third episodes of Season 6 will be titled Home and Oathbreaker, respectively (The premiere has already been confirmed to be called The Red Woman). Just in case you're doubtful about the super reliable information, Geekly Inc's "trusted source" also accurately spoiled the titles of the first three episodes of Season 5 last year before they were officially released by HBO.

What could those titles mean? Home sounds vague. It could be applicable to various storylines: Daenerys returning to Vaes Dothrak, Sam returning to his family in Oldtown, Myrcella's corpse and Jaime returning to King's Landing.

Oathbreaker, however, is a more intriguing title. It's also a callback to the Season 4 episode Oathkeeper, which was itself a reference to the Valyrian steel sword that Jaime gives Brienne to aid in her quest to save the Stark girls. So that's the connection to Lady Stoneheart. And that's where Lady Stoneheart comes in. Check out this passage from George R.R. Martin's A Feast For Crows (Book#4):

The woman in grey gave no answer. She studied the sword, the parchment, the bronze-and-iron crown. Finally she reached up under her jaw and grasped her neck, as if she meant to throttle herself. Instead she spoke… Her voice was halting, broken, tortured. The sound seemed to come from her throat, part croak, part wheeze, part death rattle.
The language of the damned
, thought Brienne. "I don't understand. What did she say?"
"She asked the name of this blade of yours," said the young northman in the sheepskin jerkin.
"Oathkeeper," Brienne answered.
The woman in grey
hissed
through her fingers. Her eyes were two red pits burning in the shadows. She spoke again.
"No, she says. Call it Oathbreaker, she says. It was made for treachery and murder. She names it
False Friend
. Like you."

The rumored episode title Oathbreaker is a good indicator that Lady Stoneheart will appear soon. It makes sense that showrunners David Benioff & D.B. Weiss would have held off so long introducing Lady Stoneheart. Even though she's memorable in the books, she hasn't done much. After she was introduced in the epilogue of the third book A Storm of Swords, she's seen in one chapter of A Feast For Crows.

I'm glad that we're getting good hints that Lady Stoneheart will be introduced in the show. I think her character is important to Brienne and Jaime's storyline. What else would Brienne be doing in this season?

Last September, we reported that a close source said that a scene was being filmed involving Lady Stoneheart.

Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres April 24 at 9PM.
