Warner Bros. is dealing with a huge loss after Henry Cavill reportedly exited his role as Superman. According to a new report, Supergirl may be the hero that the studio is falling back on.

Today, The Hollywood Reporter shared the news that Henry Cavill is exiting his Superman role. The report went on to say that the British actor is ditching the role for good, and now it seems that Warner Bros. is already shifting focus to the Supergirl movie. The film is set to be an origin story featuring a teen superheroine. Not a lot of details have been revealed for the Supergirl film but we already know that Oren Uziel is penning its script and that there are no producers attached to the film yet.

It's still unclear what the future holds for DCEU's Superman. Warner Bros. could cast another actor for the role but they haven't announced anyone so far.
