Valorant: Shroud Explains Why Omen's Buffs Are Overpowered

Riot Games officially launched Valorant on June 2 after the closed-beta version amazed the world with its greatness. The tactical first-person-shooter that mixes elements of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch delivers an exciting experience, even luring players who don't normally play competitive FPS.

The latest update with the launch added a new map, a new agent named Reyna, and it also updated some of the agents' abilities, and now Shroud (Michael Grzesiek) has shared his opinions about how some agents have been buffered since patch 1.0. Here's what Riot Games recently announced about Omen: "We want Omen to attempt plays and create fear for his opponents with his ultimate. Previously, the punishment for using the ult was almost certain death if caught by an enemy, and it pushed the ability into more niche use."

In a new video uploaded on his YouTube channel, Shroud explained why Omen is overpowered. "The fact that you can perfectly see the circle, and how high you can raise it, you can make weird one-way peeks," Shroud said.

Out of all the agents who got buffs, Omen seems to have received the best deal. All his abilities are now powerful. The patch notes said this about Omen's abiliies: "Dark Cover, Omen now enters a "phaser" world where he can see through walls to place his smokes and pressing RELOAD toggles between phased and normal targeting." Omen can also cancel his teleportation while in shade form.
