Wizards of the Coast

Magic: The Gathering fans are loving the new Japanese alternate-art planeswalker cards from the Japanese War of the Spark booster boxes. The manga style looks of the 36 planeswalkers in the set were created by Japan's talented artists including Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano. Now, Ultra PRO is making playmats featuring those stunning artworks.

Over on Twitter, Ultra PRO has revealed the mat for the Japanese alternate-art of Narset, Parter of the Veils by artist Foo Midori, and it looks wonderful. Check it out:

Of course, this is not the only Japanese alternate-art planeswalker that's getting an Ultra PRO mat so expect the company to reveal more in the upcoming weeks. I know a lot of fans would love to have a mat featuring the Liliana, Dreadhorde General art by Yoshitaka Amano.
